HOME CARE – HOMEMADE MASKS

The journey to long, shiny, and healthy-looking hair is not always easy. Especially when there are so many temptations around us. We want straight hair when we have curly. Light hair when we have dark, and vice versa. Sometimes, just a few of these changes and interventions, coupled with improper care, can weaken or completely destroy our hair. Is it falling out? Has it lost its shine and volume? Was it once stronger and more manageable?

HOW TO FIX IT?

It mainly requires patience and precision. The first priority is certainly products and preparations that will not burden or dry out our hair in any way, but quite the opposite – they will provide it with the necessary nourishment and hydration. It is certainly important not to forget about nutrition in the form of a varied diet, vitamins, minerals, fiber, proteins, etc. The largest part of our body is water, so I cannot fail to mention the drinking regime, which forms the basis of all this. Hair growth, shine, and structure primarily depend on a healthy, well-circulated, elastic, and hydrated scalp.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE MECHANICALLY OR CHEMICALLY DAMAGE OUR HAIR?

When hair is damaged, the outer layer (cuticle) is disrupted, which cannot be completely restored, but it can be strengthened. The most effective way to strengthen it is with natural products, wraps, and masks. Especially with gentle and exemplary care. Our hair is mostly made of a protein called keratin, and the rest is water, amino acids, and other building blocks.

HOW TO STRENGTHEN HAIR?

Another beneficial way is regular use of the Daily Ritual nutritional supplement, which, among other ingredients, contains the exceptional ingredient keratin. But it's good to know that keratin only reaches a certain length of our hair (10–15 cm). If the hair is longer, you can very well imagine what it is exposed to daily. It rubs against itself, gets static, tangles, breaks. It is dry and literally lacking life.

WHAT ABOUT IT? HOW TO IMPROVE IT? HOW TO DO 100% FOR THEIR RESCUE?

Undoubtedly, all-day hydration, both internally and externally, is a must! If you observe any of the above factors, you are in the right place! I recommend using hydrating leave-in conditioner daily and year-round. Whether it's winter, summer, or frost! In addition to all-day hydration, it is effective to use hydrating or protein masks.

HOW CAN ANDREINE MASKS BE USED?

Andreine cosmetic masks can be used either after shampooing on the lengths, alone as a hair treatment, or as one of the ingredients in homemade hair treatments. If you don't know what mask your hair currently needs and which one is most suitable for you, don't hesitate to visit the Hair Therapy Salon to learn more about your scalp or your hair type. It is very important to know your scalp and your hair. To know what to use on them and what not to. Another way you can enrich your crown of beauty with the necessary nourishment is, for example, oil treatments, herbal rinses, or homemade masks.

Homemade masks are a cheap but effective method, and that's why I bring you various recipes that you will surely love as much as I do. I tend to add a spoon of one of my masks and oils to every homemade treatment, so I will mention them in the following recipes.

DON'T FORGET! IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

  • The amount of hair mask and ingredients should be adjusted according to your hair length and density.
  • The consistency should be creamy, not too liquid. For masks with plain yogurt, I recommend using Greek yogurt (it has the most suitable consistency).
  • All homemade masks should be applied to pre-dampened, squeezed hair.
  • Leave on for 30–60 minutes.
  • Wrap in a plastic cap or foil.
  • When washing, make sure to rinse thoroughly.
  • First, rinse everything well with lukewarm water, and then shampoo twice (use moderately warm water after rinsing).

It is advisable to apply hair masks 1–2 times a month.

Not all of the following masks are suitable for all hair types. Before choosing a mask, consider what specific hair type you have.

I primarily mention products from my brand Andreine because I myself have gone through a lot of trials regarding hair products. I've learned a lot, and that's why I can confidently recommend my products, as I personally selected the ingredients individually and over a long period, ensuring they achieve the desired effect with regular and prolonged use.

My very first trichology salon was established in Trenčín 4 years ago. However, for a long time, I envisioned a big step forward, both with the space and with the services for you. I knew EXACTLY what it would look like one day and what new procedures would be developed. It required a lot of effort, patience, and work. Every detail was carefully considered, and my patience paid off.
