Why Should You Use Wooden Hair Brush Only
It was a long journey to find a good quality wooden brush according to my needs and conditions. You already know very well that I don't give up easily and always look for the best option, not just a satisfactory one. The few failed samples that have come my way during three years of searching are incomparable to what I am now happy to offer you.
I certainly wasn't looking for a brush that was made of plastic because that causes your hair to electrify, tearing it and making you lose the thickness of your hair. Another condition was that there were no beads on the end of the pin – again, this type of brush tangles and tears the hair. I was clear on this from the start, as I myself have been using a brush from TEK for a few years now, but I couldn't get in touch with them so I kept looking and that's when the aforementioned "screw ups" came up.
Finally, I decided to try one last time to establish cooperation with TEK and I couldn't be happier that it happened and I finally succeeded. Wooden brush TEK ANDREINE is 100% handmade in Italy from ash tree wood. It is characterised by high quality and a great emphasis on design. The wood from which the brush is made comes from well and managed forests, the rubber is natural and does not come from petroleum. The hand finishing is done with linseed oil and carnauba wax.
The unique properties of the brush with wooden pins are, for example:
- handmade from ash tree wood
- massages the scalp
- it is spring-loaded – it does not tear hair
- improves blood circulation in the scalp
- strengthens hair roots
- absorbs excess oil and dirt from the hair
- it is antistatic
- natural wood smells like vanilla
Why TEK?
The brush is handmade by skilled Italian staff, so TEK can guarantee that each brush is individually inspected before packaging.
- All the wood used comes from forests where replanting takes place to prevent wild deforestation.
- Quality TEK continues to research new technologies in order to create ever more innovative products. TEK not only produces under its own brand, but has established partnerships with well-known companies such as Emporio Armani, L'Oreal, Kerastase, Wella, Victoria's Secret and many more.
- Natural rubber "caucciù" is used in the production to avoid the use of petroleum derivatives.
- The finish is handmade using linseed oil and beeswax dyed with vegetable aniline.

All products are tested by ISTEC-CNR. Institute of Science and Technology for Ceramic Materials - National Research Council, which certifies that the products are coated with alumina-based ceramic material. Tek also uses Pure Energy electricity, certified by RECS, and participates in the development of energy production from renewable sources such as sun, wind and water. That was a bit of a more technical take on the ANDREINE wooden brush.
How to take care of the brush?
It's simple. You can wash the wooden brush and combs in lukewarm water and use ANDREINE shampoo. By being 100% natural, it will not damage the brush in any way. If necessary, you can use a soft toothbrush – on the part between the bristles and brush gently and of course leave it properly under running water. Then wipe with a towel and allow to air dry. Be sure to avoid heat sources like radiators and hairdryers! Once every couple of months you can coat the wooden handle and the back of the brush with linseed oil and just a few drops will do.
